12/25 A Christmas Gift

Merry Christmas to everyone. We hope you are having a wonderful holiday with those you love.

This Christmas, Kristy and I received a treasured gift for Christmas. It was the gift of love. But the gift wasn't for us -- it was for us to give away. It was a gift that cost us nothing but is worth everything. The gift came to us but was always intended for another person.

We gave the gift to Jen. Never has giving a gift felt so wonderful. It is the kind of love that enables you to love a child you have never met and know little about. It is the kind of love that keeps you up at night -- wondering from far away how she is and what she is doing.

Last night on Christmas Eve, Jen lay snuggled between her bear and her pig in between us as we watched "The Polar Express". She was basking in the love that was surrounding her. The more love we give her, the more she soaks in.

That is all that I need to say tonight. We received a great gift and were able to give it away to a child. I never knew it would be like this. Her smile tells the tale. No more words are necessary.

Tonight in Guangzhou, China, a little girl will lay in her bed cuddled up to her bear and know that she has a Momma and a Daddy. And when she wakes, we will be there to greet her. That is a Christmas gift that is too great for words.

Merry Christmas !!

Merry, merry Christmas to the three of you! We are thinking of you with so much love every day, and longing for the time you all return to us so we can rejoice with you in that wonderful gift of love that you speak of so beautifully. God so lavishly fills a heart with that sort of love when open it is opened to Him!
How thankful we are! Dale & Lynn

Merry Christmas Coxes. You have given your Zhuhai family the gift of knowing our children are OK. They are living in kindness. They are waiting for us and get to feel the anticipation of something special. I too would love Ai Li to have the right of passage in one last climb of the tree.
Thank you Steven and Kristy, for sharing your hearts with us. Us Hubers yearn and ache like you did for our daughter. Watching it unfold so beautifully for you is filling us with joy and anticipation for "our turn". As Dale and Lynn so perfectly wrote, God truly does lavishly fill a heart that is open to receive.
Love you guys!!
Huber Family.

Dear Kristy, Steven and Jen, Merry Christmas! You really made our Christmas complete, when we got home from being with relatives, & read your precious emails to all of us on your blog.

We can just see the 3 of you walking along, holding hands so joyously, as a family and looking at Christmas lights. How good God is, & we know this will be one of many great Christmas' to come.

Thank you for sharing these intimate details with us about the beginning of your new family time together. We rejoice with you & with all the angels in Heaven.

Praying for a safe trip home for the 3 of you. Can't wait to meet your precious Jen.

Much Love & Merry Christmas,
Deanna & Johnny

There have been so many gifts of love and miracles to touch our lives and change them. The best gift of all came as a baby in a manger over 2000 years ago in Bethlehem. The Lord Jesus became our Savior and Lord of our lives. Now in Guangzhou, China, there has come a second granddaughter Jen Hope Cox to thrill our hearts, as we get to know her and love her ! The Lord keeps His promises to do more than we can ever dream of when we love Him and follow Him. Ephesians 3:20. She is quite a Christmas gift to us, a miracle of God's grace and love. To God be the Glory !
